Similar flavors on the palate with a nice balance of black fruit, toasty oak and the herbal, peppery flavors I look for in cab franc. Medium+ acid and tannins with a medium body, juicy mouthfeel and moderate finish. Drinking very well right now and paired perfectly with a sweet and savory spiced pasta dish. |

Everything translates to the palate and the wine had that distinct cab franc profile but not overly green by any stretch, even in a lean vintage for Napa standards. Just the right amount of oak to give that smoothness and slightly spicy finish. Cab franc always has been my favorite wine from Ehlers so no surprises here. |

Fruit forward nose of strawberry and watermelon with a hint of citrus. Similar flavors on the palate with the strawberry fruit along with the green tops of the strawberry coming through with a hint of fresh herbs. Very nice acidity with a clean, crisp mouthfeel and finish. Not the most complex rose but quite delicious and will be very enjoyable with light dishes and salads. |

Cherry and strawberry flavors with a touch of underlying earthiness. Good acidity but rounder and bigger on the mouthfeel than usual. It's possible this would have benefited from being served slightly colder as I only served it at cellar temperature. Will let my remaining bottles sit for a little while longer. |
