Excellent cab franc. Bramble, spice, red dark fruits, cherry. Not as vegetal as most cab franc - this is brighter. Still quite full bodied for a cab franc, my guess is that the age has helped this wine. Drinking well now, with many years left. A steal at the $33 going out of business Cellars price. Paired well with a pesto cream chicken.

Dark crimson color. Ripe and slightly jammy red and black fruit on the nose with some cedar cigar box and pepper. Just a touch of vanilla oak in the background. Still very fruit dominant on the palate, slightly jammy. Medium acid, medium+ tannin with a hint of heat on the finish. Very tasty wine.

Popped and poured. Medium bright crimson color. Nose of dark red fruit with some raspberry and currants, dark chocolate, hint of cedar cigar box. Similar flavors on the palate with a slightly herbal note and a cocoa dusted raspberry flavor on the finish. Medium acid, medium+ tannin and body. Moderate finish. Overall a delicious wine to sip and enjoy on its own and this showed better than previous bottles so the additional bottle time helped smooth things out.

Still represents a great value for us, but our palettes and library have expanded quite a bit. These may require a tiny bit more time, but it was smoother than I remembered, with the tannins decently integrated, but still the wine has a fairly narrow range in the mouth. there are a few details like the green peppers, cassis and vanilla that come through but it is not a remarkable wine.
