Really lean and light un-balanced palate. Not very pleasant to drink. More than half left for tomorrow. will see ; 87 for 1st day |

11/1/2009 - loverboy wrote: 93 pointsOpened for 3 hour before we first pour. Deep nice ruby with a surprisingly gentle nose than expected. The wine got better with air and became more powerful. Creamy, caramelize with smooth oak, vanilla. Fine and delicate sweet tannin, along with Shafer Hillside Select, this wine stood up nicely. Long lasting aftertaste. This wine showed how important the winemaking is as important as having good raw materials.... |

7/11/2009 - loverboy wrote: 95 pointsLight golden yellow. Pop and pour, the wine need lots of airing time. The wine was very young and tight at first with muted nose. I tends to have white burgs not too cold so I always took it out of the ice bucket and let it warm down a little. Doing that I finds it gives you aromas while not spoil its freshness. The wine opens up with nutty scents, white flowers, deep sweet nose ( reminds me of Thai's sweets ). This is an approachable but full-bodied wine with one of the most delicious feel in mouth I've ever tasted from white burgs. Good finish but not memorable. |

12/10/2008 - loverboy wrote: 90 pointsFirst nose of ripe pinot, very new world. Gets better with times. Dark pinot in color, black fruit, very oaky,. Very yummy in mouth, full bodied wine that can pair with big food. The only downside was the noticeable alcohol when you smell the wine. |

8/12/2008 - loverboy wrote: 93 pointsCompletely shut down right off, probably due to the "too cold" stage , or not enough air time. After an hour or so, the wine kicks off nicely, aroma of vanilla, creame, strong honey. The most interesting part is that the wine is so powerful, full bodied with huge finish in the mouth though a bit bitter in the end, may be too young . Nicely done, and will definitely get better and better |

Very young with dark purple color. Nose blackberry, cedar, creamy caramel. Big in mouth with big tannins but sweet. Rugged and should be laid down for a long long time. The wine fade pretty fast both in terms of the nose and in mouth. |

Seamless wine that keeps go on and on, changing and developing all night long. Exotic fruit scent, blueberry, leather, forest floor. The most exciting part for me is the taste, it's very unique and big delicious wine. Super aftertaste. One of the best wine I've had. Totally agree with others' notes that it just keeps getting better and better after swirling and swirling. It just never fade in glass. Magnificent work by Krankl !! |

7/14/2008 - loverboy wrote: 95 pointsAs dense and dark as anyone would've expected. Big tannic monster built to last for decades. Very fruity nose of blackcurrant, cassis, ripe fruits. Tannins keep building up with times. Massive in the mouth, Mouton style which is drinkable now but certainly will offer much more in the future. LONG finish which last more than a minute. Truely great wine which I would give 95 now and will definitely merits more point with time. |
