9/18/2023 - Vinnut Likes this wine: 91 pointsDeep, dark garnet in color with clearing at the edges. Full, forward & fragrant nose of maturing ripe fruit aromas of blackberries, cherries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, mint, cocoa, cedar & tobacco notes, minerals, spices & a hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Full bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of blackberries, cherries & plums with cocoa, herbs, minerals, spices & oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & airing but at 19 years of age, it is at or close to its peak of development. Although it should continue to hold at its current plateau for a few more years, I doubt any further development would occur from additional aging. |

10/27/2020 - RockyII Likes this wine: 87 pointsDeep golden color of honey. Sauvignon Blanc with a little Semilion I think. Big nose and flavor. Butterscotch, lemon, bread and celery. Viscous mouthfeel. Pretty unique but also strange. About 87 if you are adventurous |

I didn't realize this was part of a cellar raid in 2015, which I scored this 88. This was better this time and holding it's own |

5/1/2016 - cns Likes this wine: 93 pointsThis wine is singing now. At 13.5% alc. it's not too hot, but handles a nice steak or anything other than a delicate meal very well. Great balance, fruit, acidity -- all there. Will be perfect now and for another 3-5 years. Have at it!!! |

6/6/2015 - TallMikeWine Likes this wine: 93 pointsOMG! Going strong. This has some amazing fruit, exotic, powerful yet refined. Decanted it, but then drank fairly quickly, loved every sniff and swirl and taste, but probably would be better in a couple of years. But I liked it. Wish I had more, price is high. So I don't. Enjoy. |
