Straight out of the bottle, prominent funk in the nose, initially wet socks / forest floor. Notes of sour cherry and a bit of tobacco in the background. Had it with pizza, which went ok but probably shouldn’t be too spicy. |

At this point its building tannin complexity that may slightly constrain pairing options. Higher fat dishes or pasta w/cream and cheese sauces will still work well. The unparied sipper window likely closed a year ago. Its still a buy recommendation if they start to release this again. |
