Very pale, almost salmon in color. A very minerality-driven rosé with just a touch of strawberry and underripe melon fruit peeking through. Somewhat diffuse. Nothing special here, but still very drinkable.

89-90 range. A very good example of provence rose. Slightly lacking in liveliness, but this could be simply showing some age. Excellent QPR and will enjoy the remaining bottles this summer.

CBCC spring wine tasting (part 3)

Once again I am getting peach, strawberry and red apple in mouth. I get the Grenache, Cinsault, Vermentino and Shiraz combinations and really respect this wine.

Outstanding for an under $15 Rose’, especially one from Provence. Lots of melon and tropicals, even coconut in the bouquet, softer stone fruits in the mouth with a dry and pleasing bitter finish. Lingers on the sides of the tongue. Drank alone, and by itself. Stashing the rest of the case for warmer days.

Wow. Still alive. Peach, apricot, mango, pineapple, strong herbal (I don't know herbs) note underlying everything. Acidity a bit lacking on the palate, but hey it's 7 yrs old by now. Still good enough to help you crush a charcuterie board.

Had this am with breakfast so life is grand and this wine did not disappoint. Getting peach, strawberry and red apple in mouth. I was told the combination of grapes include Grenache, Cinsault, Vermentino and Shiraz. Really lovely showing among some not so great other wines.

We relax, we loosen up, we REGALE in the superb easy-drinkingness of it all. Who knows? We might just go skinny-dipping tonight.

Strawberries, of course (that wonderful whiff of strawberry is absolutely mandatory), a dash of rose petal perfume, a hint of white peach….it’s all there in that also-must-have RACY, mouth-electrifying freshness!! AAAAH! Love it!! Will go mighty fast!

Light to medium salmon pink. Notes of strawberries, cherries, and light spices on the nose. Medium acidity (5.5/10) and light plus to medium bodied. Well balanced on the palate with notes of red fruits and a little bit of a creamy mouthfeel. Medium length finish. Drink till 2019.

Light pink, a bit of lemon, melon but primarily lemon and a hint of apple. Bright texture, medium finish, sufficiently acidic to balance the fruit. Probably better in a year or two actually.

Nicely balanced rosé, with the heft cut by an acid spine. Just a hint of bitterness, which made it even more interesting. Medium-light weight, good length. Drank very well.

Very pale copper in color, this wine (35% syrah/30% grenache/30% cinsault/5% Rolle) shows muted aromas of watermelon, strawberry and orange zest. The mouth feel is medium bodied with brisk acidity that brings out more strawberry elements. The finish is nicely balanced. 13.5% abv.

Purchased for $11US, this is an enjoyable, classic style Rosé. I wish the aromatics were more expressive but overall it drinks well.

MD and I shared this wine on a Saturday evening with Chinese food. The sweet light peach color belies the tartness on the palate. No distinct flavor profile to the tartness but while not overwhelming not very subtle either.
