Plum, red cherry, a bit of green olive, black pepper, menthol. Not a ton of oak influence. I could be convinced of some black tea. Relatively light on the palate. Finish is long, but with one foot out the door if that makes sense. Fades quickly at first, then just sticks around for a while. After a few min in the glass, acidity and tannins meld into the rest of the wine. Very good for my first bottle from this producer.

Primary nose. Not a whole lot going on there, but very nice what is there (plum, cherry). At first PnP, hot on the palate. Good concentration and length though. Very good balance between ripeness and fresheness. Fine, firm tannins. Coming back to it a few hours later, either the alcohol didn't stand out as much or it got a chance to come together. Much nicer. Very good, but somewhat simple wine for me.

Lovely transparent brownish purple ruby ish color. Rich cherries, red plums. The transparent color made me expect the acidity of a nebbiolo (this is my first Nero d'avola) so was surprised to find an almost velvet palate. The richness continues on the palate. Maybe some black tea, coffee, tobacco notes underneath the fruit. Medium body. Medium fine grained (I'm guessing this is what people mean by fine grained) tannins. Every bit of the 13.5% abv. Long finish. Very cohesive. Very nice.
