5/15/2024 - bear Likes this wine: 90 pointsA good wine, although in a different style than I typically prefer. Underneath plum and raspberry flavors is a pronounced cola flavor that really adds to the complexity. We drank this with roasted chicken thighs and roasted potatoes and it was a very good match. A very well-made wine. As is usual in J Christopher wines, they take at least a year more of cellaring to become drinkable than most other Oregon Pinot Noir (5 years). This particular wine is +2 years and is just at the point of being really enjoyable. |

5/12/2024 - Art_Vandelay1 Likes this wine: 95 pointsStood upright for a day before decanting, which revealed a little sediment. Quite funky nose at first that receded with exposure to air. On the palate: a strawberry and red cherry party with zippy acidity and silky tannins. Had a nice earthiness to it as well. Peaked between hours 2-4 and was still in good shape when the last glass was consumed. |

Perhaps the best of the low-end Oregon pinots that we have been sampling of late. |

3/10/2024 - Muledog71 Likes this wine: 91 pointsIn a really good place right now, although I get a bit of that”greenness” that I always get from this producer. Which usually isn’t a good thing for me personally . |

2/28/2024 - Jys1982 Likes this wine: 88 pointsI certainly enjoyed it, but it just wasn’t a home run for me. Nice ruby color and fruity, while not being too sweet. Got a little oak at the end and I felt like there was a subtle peppery note (though no one else seems to mention do I am sure I’m just imaging it). In any event, I like it but don’t love it and so am a little disappointed. At the price, I prefer Ken Wright. |

2/27/2024 - ocassiuso Likes this wine: NROpen five hours. Moderately intense aromas (not as bright as on opening) of red fruit with floral notes and a cinnamon sweetness, dry soil. Dry, with moderate to elevated fresh acidity, modest tannins, medium-bodied, 14% abv. Moderately intense mostly red fruit on the palate, some fresh bitterness on the savory, moderately long finish. I'd like to try this with ham. |
