I agree with my tasting notes of the past year. This wine is still testing great !! At Peak !!
A perfect cork after over a decade in the bottle, easily removed. Consumed over two days. Perfectly aged, soft, integrated, and balanced wine. Ruby red color with little to no oxidation, aromas of red bramble berries, bright flavors of black cherry and cranberry, with a pleasantly long to medium finish of soft red raspberry compote. No more bottles of this vintage remaining in my cellar. Way to go Bob Mueller.

This is my last bottle of this wonderful wine. One would think that 13 years is too long for a Pinot. But the significant alcohol level of this wine (not displayed on the bottle) is what is keeping this lady alive. We had her with grilled Tuna steaks and it was wonderful.

This once beautiful young girl is now a grandmother—but a very stylish one—not yet in a wheelchair. The once youthful fruit is gone and the beauty is now in her upbringing and ancestry (terroir). She has aged well but enjoy her before she can no longer pleasure your palate.

Thank you, Bob. Brilliant work. We will miss you.

Vineyard Gate single blind tasting of 7 chardonnays with Hiroko. Similar to nose. Palate good, too. (I didn’t hazard a guess here; H gave it 89, too.)

We drank this a couple days ago so I don’t remember all the details. What stuck with me is how enjoyable it was and I would put this up against Chards that are much more expensive. This was an excellent wine and I’m happy we have one more bottle left.

From magnum, signed bottle. While the cork was crumbly, the wine was perfect. Supple, round, and mature. Exactly why we are rewarded for our patience with wines like these. Enjoy!

This wine is still testing pretty good, st or just past peak !!
A dry cork after over a cozen years in the bottle, easily removed with the Durand. Consumed over two days. Soft, integrated, and balanced wine. Ruby red color with modest oxidation, aromas of red bramble berries, bright flavors of black cherry and cranberry, with a pleasant medium finish of soft red raspberry compote. No bottles of this vintage remaining in my cellar. Polished effort by winemaker Bob Mueller.

This was just recently acquired even though it is a 10 year old. Bob held this back as one of his favorites only to be released as he and Lori retired and closed down their winery. Bob knows how to make a great Pinot and this is no exception. It has grown a bit thin and is starting to show some signs of bricking. But it is very subtle and very enjoyable with mild dishes. We had it with pork, sweet potato and black bean stew. It was all excellent.

Very tasty blackberry and smoked bacon wine.
Not as good as 2012, but value to price is still very high. My gf finds it very sexy. Who knew??

Minor saturation on the near perfect cork after over a decade and a half in the bottle, easily removed. Consumed over two days. Perfectly aged. soft, integrated. and balanced wine. Dark ruby red color with little to no oxidation, aromas of cherry, mature flavors of black cherry and leather, with a pleasantly long to medium finish of soft red raspberry compote. My hat is off to Bob Mueller for his intuitive winemaking style in a challenging year.

If you have some of this left in your cellar, consider yourself fortunate. You have another 2-3 years but this was awesome today and surprised being a vintage I am not generally fond of. Sorry for lack of detail. Just trust me on this.

Love this Pinot. It is big enough to stand up to my meal of Duck Confit which made me really happy. Love the more earthy RRV wines like this versus the really fruity wines we usually have from this AVA. Hogans Run is a perineal favorite because of this. Bob worked his magic with a less than stellar vintage to make this great wine. Drinking fine now and probably for a couple more years.

PNP, served with pork loin stuffed with Pesto. Excellent nose and strong fruit. Could use another year in bottle or perhaps a 1 hour decant to smooth out a little more. Drinking range seems right (and 3-7 years usually works for all Mueller PN.)

Tasted side by side with the 2007 (which was a tough act to follow) but this vintage held its own. Dashing with bright fruit displaying impeccable balance and poise. Well defined, gripping finish. How could this wine possibly be $20 - Top QPR

Well-aged and preserved red - remarkably still plush with black cherry and deep ripe plum. A white chocolate kiss on a lavish finish. What a pleasure to drink and discover. Top QPR - Thanksgiving Day

Pretty similar to the first bottle a week ago. Alcohol is high, fruit is all RRV, and it now has a good bit of aged character. Not great, but very pleasing and interesting. Noticed an ever so slight hint of VA on this bottle, but didn't detract much, if any.

Everyone enjoyed this. The high alcohol helps give this full body, but the fruit was not over the top and this was not porty at all. Yes, this is RRV Pinot, so there was a candied note present, but overall, this showed very well for what it is. Not in everyone's wheelhouse, for sure, but this is in a good spot for those who enjoy RRV Pinot. Not my favorite style, but I really enjoyed this, as the mouthfeel and focus was excellent. Maybe 89 - 90, if scoring.
