2/5/2022 - ephorn Likes this wine: 91 pointsIntriguing old worls funk on the nose. Smoky, tomatoey, Perhaps a touch of sulfites in there as well. Palate mirrors the complex nose but with more fruit. Palate is quite energetic and racy with the acidity. Tannins are medium as is the finish. This is a decent Bordeaux substitute for about half the price. The late release really worked. I think it still has some years of life ahead. |

Not a wine to lay down, but to enjoy both by itself and with many foods. The excellent QPR persists from vintage to vintage. |

With some breathing out comes some red and dark berry aromas with some cooked/preserved fruit notes. A great effort from a growing region within Ontario. |
