2014 Myriad Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valleymore |
11/1/2016 - avwiner wrote: NRWith a signature Mike Smith approachability in its youth, this remarkable entry level Napa Cabernet will knock the socks off many of its competitors who are double the price. A blend of five pedigreed vineyards picked exclusively to produce this perfect showcase of Napa Valley head to toe. It has strength, stunningly rich viscosity and fragrant notes of blackcurrants, blackberries, vanilla, graphite and spring flowers. It exhibits a rich opaque purple color, is full-bodied and has a massive mouth feel that flawlessly integrates the acidity and plush tannins. As our proprietary Cabernet, this is the perfect wine to enjoy while waiting for our single vineyard Cabernets to hit their stride. Enjoy now and over the next 5-7 years |

Seamless from nose to finish this is a hedonistic wine that just does not give in. Luscious nose of dark fruit, anise, red meat and smoke. Mouth is an explosion of black fruits, dark chocolate and spice. This was the only wine I did not pour out because it was just that good. Mike Grammer was right about this one when he said I'd probably like it.

Layered flavors on the palate- creme de cassis, tea, leather, tobacco, blueberry, blackberry and spice. Full bodied and velvety in feel and tannin. Full finish with notes of red fruit. Very nice.
