Palate shows darker red fruits with just a slight herbal quality that makes me wonder if there is some cab franc in the mix. Very light for a cab and soft on the palate. This has evolved nicely since my last bottles and there is plenty of life left. Delicious! |

Used an ah so, but the cork (short cork) came out easily. Was in great condition, with almost no soaking. Poured a deep red in the glass with a nose of blue and black fruits though a bit of a dried fruit profile on the nose. Immediately tasted, and it was in pretty good shape. Fresh to cooked red fruit on the palate, with an ever so slight prune taste at the end. Still there, but well integrated tannins, good acidity. Was a bit thin though, to me. I think if I had tasted blind I would have called this a 10 year old CA cab, so it has held up quite well. Fun experience - and great looking bottle. |

Similar flavors on the palate with a nice mix of ripe red berry fruit, toasty oak, herbal cough drop and a bit of earthy forest floor. Medium acid and tannin. Smooth mouthfeel and finish. Drinking really great at the moment. |

Silky smooth wine a a bold one too - rich and fruit laden. The hint of ag remains throughout. Very Californian. It's not a subtle wine but it is a very delicious one. Been to the estate as well - lovely place. None left and not sure I can hold of any more in the UK.. |

Gorgeous nose of ripe blackberry, cassis, a bit of blueberry compote, purple florals and a touch of sweet vanilla and toasty oak in the background. Similar flavors on the palate with incredible balance of fruit, oak, tannin and acidity. Silky smooth mouthfeel with a long finish. Best bottle of this vintage yet and I have one more left. |

9/30/2023 - Patrickcro Likes this wine: 93 pointsExcellent Napa Cab. Deep purple color just starting to move to reddish brown. Opened and let sit for 2 hours. Nose was powerful Jumped out of the bottle as it was uncorked Black fruits like black cherry and dark plums. Cooked fruit on the nose. Flavor was not overwhelming fruit but very balanced with fruit and earthy and mushroom flavors. Slight vanilla and cedar on the finish Tannins were soft and acidity balanced. This wine is as good as it’s going to be now but will keep evolving for the next 5 years. I love Ehler’s! |
