Savoury and spicy flavours intertwined with stone fruits and mineral stony and flinty notes, well integrated medium+ soft acidity. |

Medium body, slightly spicy and tense with light structure but ripe and juicy fruits, pleasantly astringent, medium+ acidity. |

In color as well as aroma, we would have expected this to be a warmer vintage in the 2000s and not a 13. Not a bad Riesling at all, but a bit disappointing and not what I expected from this premium and rather cool vintage. Possible this bottle was a bit off, but we couldn’t identify any other issues with it. |

Medium-light body, medium acidity, long finish. I opened a 2022 Grey Slate a couple of weeks ago and it was equally tight and closed the first day but really bloomed on days two and three. This is fairly primary right now, but I really think this needs some bottle age to really show itself. I'll be buying more, but will try not to open this for at least 2-3 years. I think this has a lot of potential but is really too young at this point. |

Good body, good acidity considering it's from what's considered a lower acid, riper vintage. Rich, viscous, good intensity. Has a touch of sweetness in the finish but it's well balanced by the acidity. Seems like it's just starting to open. Clearly on the young side and has years ahead of it. |

But a little air and it’s quite alive, an hour in and it’s vibrant even. It’s very intense on the palate with sweetness and stone fruit, and also acidity. Good wine that I found myself not wanting to drink a lot of - just so sweet at this stage. |

Finishes dry with medium acidity+. The mineral notes and saline really shine in the long finish. Taut and racy, but also bright and fresh. While this approachable now (if you like slightly leaner wines), I think this be best after 2027. |
