Opens up with a nose of green apple and pear. The palate also has apple and pear along with sweet lime. There's a bit of weight to the mouthfeel and some sweetness even though this is trocken. I suspect at least a little bit of residual sugar and also some time on lees for texture.
Acid surprisingly soft for a young Riesling, and given this is entry level stuff on the German hierarchy I suspect this is a drink sooner than later prospect, though I think should be good for another 3-5 years.

Farblich sehr blass und klar im Glas.
In der Nase Aromen von kandierten Zitronen und etwas Pfirsich und Papaya. Mittlere Intensität mit schöner Klarheit in der Nase.
Am Gaumen sehr rund mit einer gut integrierten Süße und mit frischer Säure. Der Wein zeigt eine mittlere Länge am mittleren Gaumen und einen mittleren bis langen Nachhall. Der erfrischende Antrunk wird gefolgt von exotischen Früchten am mittleren Gaumen und einem frischen, leicht mineralischen und säurebetonten Finish.
Schöne Frische und sehr gut integrierte Säure, die das Ganze weniger süß als erwartet präsentiert. Mir persönlich gefällt das zusammen mit dem schönen Trinkfluss sehr gut.

More like a Spätlese but oh-so yummy. Yellow fruits, some more exotic hints (think pineapple and mango). You feel the hot year but the Apotheke is still a fine and balanced wine. Not sure it’ll be a super long-distance runner but this will easily last another 10 years while gaining extra complexity.

Initially quite closed this delightful wine opened to reveal a lifted nose of fresh cut limes, white peach, mirabelle plums and white flowers. The palate has plenty of zest and grip with lime and stone fruit fruits leading into a fine mineral palate of slate and natural acidity. 24 hrs in the bottle revealed more palate complexity in the remaining 350mls suggesting plenty of room for development.

91 Va tomando un precioso color dorado verdoso. Nariz absolutamente mineral, sobrio. Boca en la que se impone la mineralidad, es rectilíneo, preciso. Final amargoso con notas cítricas. Es un vino soberbio como entrada de gama. Muy serio.

Colour: v pale straw, bright, clear.
Nose: full, fresh, v perfumed, floral, light ylang ylang,
Taste: light body, rounded, white nectarine, peach, med finish, good acidity, not v sweet, stone fruits
Overall, pleasant but not challenging. Does not have the character of the GG version.

Blassgelb im Glas, Bukett zuerst nach reifen Zitrusfrüchten, dann noch weiße Früchte und Mineralik, am Gaumen sehr trinkfreudig dank 11% Alkohol, schlank, rassig, genügend Konturen durch Grip und Mineralik, ein Traum zum Wegzischen.
Mosel at its best im Einstiegsbereich.

Retasted after the wine had time to rest from delivery. This time against Müller Ruprecht's Ungsteiner Weilberg Riesling Trocken 2021.
AC: ABV: 11.5%, RS: 5.3 gr/l, TA: 8.9 gr/l
MR: ABV: 13.5%, RS: 5.1 gr/l, TA: 7.6 gr/l
Fascinating comparison, demonstrating the best of Mosel terroir, crystalline clarity and purity versus very good Pfalz terroir, weight and ripe power.

This wine has filled out but is still a babe. With this acidity it is built for the long haul. Drink this before the meal with the MR definitely a food wine.

Vinified with natural yeast and aged on the lees until August.
ABV: 11.5%, RS: 5.3 gr/l, 8.9gr/l.
Colour: med loght gold, bright, clear.
Nose: v full, fresh, ripe fruit, apple, citrus,
Taste: light body, round while taut, excellent crisp fruit, apple, quince, long finish, dry, apple, quince, slate.
Overall, a stunning example of this wine.
Fascinating to compare with the Steinreich. Clearly more weight and complexity but the same DNA! A tad more alcohol, a smidgeon less RS but the same TA. This will age!

This comes from their Apotheke holding but is made in a lighter style. Natural yeast fermentation followed by aging on the less until June.
ABV: 11%, RS: 6.4 gr/l, TA: 9.0gr/l.
Colour: light straw, sl green tinge, bright, clear.
Nose: q full, v fresh and crisp, saline, stone fruit, some lime
Taste: light body, taut, lime, saline, med finish, bone dry, lime.
Overall, tasted straight after delivery so mad on my part. This is still a baby, no way do I get the RS but then the acidity is striking. As an entry level wine, wow! Will revisit once rested and taste against the Apotheke Trocken itself.

In der Nase noch viel schweflige Reduktion (Moselschiefer 🙂), dazu helles Stein- und Kernobst, ganz leicht Limette samt Abrieb. Mit viel Luft auch frische Gurke.

Am Gaumen zischt das mächtig. Sehr forsche, frische Säure, marmoriert sehr schön eher dunkle Mineralik. Sehr guter Zug, saftig ohne Ende.

Wie Kabi (aus einem kühlen Jahr) sein sollte: Frisch, unkompliziert, schneller leer als man bis drei zählen kann.
