4/11/2024 - RedLester Likes this wine: 95 pointsViolets, pepper and that sort on piney smell that reminds me of sniffing fresh blueberries on the nose. On the palette - sweet black fruit up front, alive on the tongue. Soft, velvety tannins and perfectly integrated oak. Warm and generous. Hints of delicious caramel that perfectly complements the fruit. Super long, dry finish. Utterly spectacular. I think it must be at its absolutely peak right now |

However, hubby loves this characteristic so really enjoyed it. The longer you can let it breathe, the more the tannins subside a bit and leave that dry (almost savoury) cherry flavour to come to the front more. Did work really well with a rich duck dish, and I think this needs to be drunk with food. |
