Felt alive from the first sip and opened up beautifully as it warmed up from cellar temperature. Good acidity still with dark almost bitter chocolate notes with beautiful fruits still on display. Probably the best 09 Pomerol I have had to date - better than VCC I had recently. |

Slightly closed nose and wish the finish was a bit longer, but a smooth, hedonistic treat. This bottle lacked a bit of acidity looking forward to trying the rest. 94/100 |

Medium bodied with medium ripe tannins, balancing acidity, layered and vibrant, well integrated oak, spice with long finish. A great pomerol that is clearly young and should improve once baby fat is gone. Long life ahead. 97-98 |

It is still a wonderful experience, so if you have one, drink it now. The nose is pure fruit, which is rare for a Pomerol in my experience. Cassis, ripe plums, maraschino cherries, preserve berries, and a hint of coffee. The palate is very smooth- almost no tannins. The fruit is also forward, with red berries emerging early, and leaving behind hints of cedar, coffee, and very subtle spice. The best way to describe this wine is like listening to a speech by a wise person- nothing but truth, unpretentious, pure. Enjoy. |
