5/9/2024 - popopdrops Likes this wine: 90 pointsDekantert. Voldsom åpning, illsint beist, overveldende frukt. Usikker på om dette er tilsiktet. I så fall ikke til å forstå. Den roer seg nedover I flasken, og et siste glass dag 2 er absolutt behagelig. |

5/4/2024 - Jeff Leve wrote: 95 pointsCrushed stone, flowers, strawberries, cherries, licorice, tobacco, and spice create the complex aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine is crisp, ripe, long, and vibrant. It is easy to find its trademark sense of minerality accompanying the layers of fruit that linger on the mid-palate. There is purity, length, and energy in the finish. The wine blends 86% Merlot with 14% Cabernet Franc. 14.7% ABV. Drink from 2029-2055. 94-96 Pts. |

5/5/2024 - karanan Likes this wine: 94 pointsDecanted two hours - noticed a good amount of sediment. Wine drank beautifully. Silky smooth, very light bit of sweetness. Even at 14.5% alcohol, you couldn't feel any burn whatsoever. Tannins really well integrated. In its drinking window now and guessing that it will probably last a few years more. Thoroughly enjoyable right now. |

Tiefgründig, kühl, nobel, florale Noten, dunkle Frucht, Schwarzkirsche, mineralisch unterlegt; gradlinig im Auftakt, zupackend, knackige Frucht, messerscharfes Tannin, grosser Spannungsbogen, lebendig, elegant, salin und rotfruchtig im Abgang. Einmal mehr ausgezeichnet. (En Primeur Tasting April 2024) |

This seems to still be improving. Many people dismissed its super high ratings, but it just needed patience. All classic Bordeaux characteristics. Still has a lot of time in front of it. 2 people found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (1) |

3/26/2024 - BordeauxOne Likes this wine: 100 pointsTasted at an Evening with Friends alongside 2005 Mouton Rothschild and 2005 Chateau Latour. The 2005 Chateau Larcis Ducasse has reached it's apex, and is highly approachable although it will remain perfect for at least another decade. Immediately after opening and decanting the freshness of the nose and flavors were profound and continued to develop over a 2 hour period. The aftertaste lingered for a full 45-60+ seconds. A blend of 78% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon, this amazing opulent wine with very limited production should continue to give great pleasure. Kudos to it's St. Emilion origin. |

3/23/2024 - hkbob Likes this wine: 94 pointsTerrific bottle from an unheralded vintage. Aromatics of dark cherry, raspberry and red plum notes with a floral overlay. Voluptuous blue and red-fruited palate with great freshness and good length. Just lovely and the best part is this sells for a song. |

3/13/2024 - bboard Likes this wine: NRUse Vinturi aerator, and double decanted back into bottle for 2h at home and brought to restaurant. My opinion is wine has lots of life left, easily 5-10 years. My experience is consistent with KFRENCH150 note on Dec 15 2023. Newer world palate in general, especially with less air time |

3/9/2024 - JimHow Likes this wine: 94 pointsThis wine was absolutely delicious. A little shy on the nose at first but it was open for business on the palate right from the start. I’ve always said 2014 was equally great in the right bank and this is another example. I regret that this was my only bottle as it seems hard to find and the prices have risen. Did not notice the 14.5% alcohol. The fruit was ripe but beautifully balanced. Soft tannins. These 2014s from both banks are drinking beautifully right now. I wish I could find more but it looks like the prices have doubled. Rating: 94 points. |
