Too bad this is my last one. Tertiary fruit flavors are opening up. A bit on the light side. There is still a bit more Cali pinot funk/cola flavor that is not my favorite, which keeps me from rating this in the outstanding category. My brother-in-law, who is not a pinot fan, commented that this had a lot more fruit than most cali pinots. |

Slight funk on the nose that blows off with air, revealing a terrific black cherry and spice nose, with hints of earth. Laser-like precision on the palate, with juicy fruit, good complexity, and interesting earth and spice notes that are bolstered by a spike of acidity. Strong finish. This is a fantastic 2007. A- |
