Jammy and fruit forward, but with the nuance and complexity of an old world approach with new world hedonism. Dark and brooding, rich black fruits, has pepper, faint garrigue reminiscent of rhone, has finesse and structure, will live long. Have a case will be fun to taste a bottle every 2-3 years.

Delicious, better after an hour. Pretty high alcohol, I had the impression it was at least 15, maybe more.

Animal notes, heavy Brett and acidity for first 4 hours, then settled in to a big tasty compliment to lamb and beans. Some tar, blue fruit, prune, and tannic. Food helped a lot. Still full of gamey flavors. Nice wine, still getting better at 6th hour. Decanted from the start

Day 2 black cherry and chocolate, absolutely delicious.

Has that southern french ripeness and fruit. But there is some elegance here as well. Seems younger than 20 years, I think this could easily go 10 more. Not really my style but a fun wine to try.

Nose marked by strong volatile acidity with a clear acetic edge. Palate is soft and very aromatic, almost muscat-like. The overall balance is off.

Suprisingly sweet, which the other vintages (2008, 2009) i've tried aren't, and weren't when they were younger.

Tasted the opened bottle for 6 days. Opaque black almost through the edge, with aromas of blackberry and black cherry fruit. The best part of the wine is the sip, that begins with moderately juicy fruit and texture. The swallow generates a smothering spike of firm acidity and grippy tannin that permeates the aftertaste and strips the saliva out the mouth. Overall, a very good Rasteau, but which needs more lushness, richness, concentration, and integration to be competitive with the great wines made by Domaine Soumade in Rasteau.

I love Rhone whites, so I am a bit biased. The Marsanne in this bottle brought me some toffee and pecan notes followed by an immediate coating of the mouth which helped to mask the 16.1% ABV. The high alcohol can make this tough to have as your everyday wine, maybe once I am retired!

I'm a fan of this wine. Certainly one of the best Rasteau. (now sold under IGP Vaucluse wine region).
It's a 100% grenache
Deep purple hue, nose of red berries and wild herbs
The mouth is ample rich but with freshness ans a quite long final.
Could rival the best Chateauneuf-du-Pape
Can be kept in cellar for the next ten years !

Gourt de Mautens blanc 2019 - Vaucluse from Jerome Bressy. A great collection of white grapes in this wine ! Ripe fruits in the nose (Pineapple, gooseberry, fig, melon), on the tongue fine acidity and some butterscotch paired with orange peel. Great and long finish at the palate. Its quite young at the moment. I'm curious to taste it in a few years again. A great wine in a great year from a great region made by a great winemaker !

Nose: Black berries, olives, herbs, pepper.

Palate: Balanced with concentrated fruit. Black berries, red berries, spices and hint of pepper.

Note: Bought because of the good ratings in cellar tracker. In decanter for two hours. It is very concentrated fruit, but because of the lack of length it is 90p in my opinion. Excellent to drink now, but might be better in the the next five years.

Hard to find much fault with this 2010! Delicious at PNP and still excellent 2-1/2 days later after recorking in the fridge. Full bodied, almost black, loads of blackberries, with a somewhat waxy mid-palate. Really silky. For at least the last 10 years, I’ve been drinking GdM Vaucluse Rouge from my local wine shop when I see it on their shelves. It’s never cheap, so I pass on it sometimes, but when I buy it, it’s alway rewarding and memorable. This 2010 is in a fantastic place and is obviously capable of lasting for several years to come.

Slow ox about 2 hrs. Effusive nose of purple flowers, sagebrush, and cassis. Palate is consistent, like liquified purple flowers, blueberry and cassis, a hint of herbal sage on the finish. This is in a perfect place, but no rush to open. Medium light acid, tannins are still moderate with medium coarseness. Grenache isn’t usually my favorite, but this is hands down the best Grenache dominated blend I’ve had

Full body, good color, with a soft mouth feel. The flavors were nice but different than most wines I drink. Plum upfront with a maple finish. Definitely a complex wine that many can describe other flavors. This is a Well made wine that can get better but good already.
