6/27/2020 - Golf_Wine Does not like this wine: NRRe-organizing my wines and found what must have been a gift, many years ago, from someone that does not nerd out on wines. On open some swamp gas. Poured a small glass 15 min ago and much better. Nose sweet plums, ripe mandarin oranges, sherry, port, dark burnt caramel, sweet Italian herbs/spices. Drinking very smooth, some red berries, cherries, boysenberries, tobacco, oak. Short finish. Good vintage, good region, but still a cheap drinking wine that somehow survived the years in my cellar. Got worse, had to pour it out...... |
