The nose is far more expressive than the palate. The nose evokes a syrah and petite sirah blend, but it is clearly all petite sirah on the palate. I sense a little malo because the wine was much smoother than I expected and had a little butter/vanilla element to it. But maybe it was all French Oak. Overripe black fruits that were jammy. A great wedding wine.

I'd first like to say that I do like the EOS Winery and have enjoyed several offerings from them. Despite selling out they do still have heart at this winery, especially in their reserve wines. That being said this wine is a watery mess. I know your probably saying that's what your going to get drinking a 2015 so early but that would be wrong. The fruit complexity in this wine isn't significant enough to age well. I'm going out on a sturdy limb to say that all California wines from 2014-2016 due to the drought are a total loss. Start investing your time in wine from other countries during this time.

Fruit forward, deep plum aroma. Some tannin, balanced, a little spice, dry, very full flavor.
