4/22/2024 - John from GR Likes this wine: NRAn excellent example of a Zinfandel made with some restraint. This is not the massive Petite Syrah imposter. Yes, it is fruit forward, but there is more than just fruit. Some spice. Some tobacco. But mostly blue and black berries. Not the best choice for the delicate veal we ate with it. We have drunk several Burgundies during the past month, and I just wanted some variety. |

4/8/2024 - Bubba Rum Das wrote: 91 pointsComplex fruity nose stright out of the bottle, which mellows with a little sitting. A little acidic, but nice tannins, complex fruity notes with a hint of tobacco, black currant, and vanilla. Very smooth and luscious. Would be great with a barbecued steak, a premium burger, or Italian and Greek foods with a bold flavor profile of their own. |

2/17/2024 - dcampb Likes this wine: 90 pointsIt is in its prime. Blackberry and a hint of dried fruit it seems it will lean into with any more age. I can't imagine it will get better so I am glad I opened it now. |

12/28/2023 - NateR Likes this wine: 89 pointsRipe fruit and brambles on the nose. Vibrant on the palate, with fruit and acidity, a little tannin, and a faint hint of sweetness. Better after having time to breathe; on opening the acidity was more pronounced. Despite the claim on the label that it is ready to drink now, I suspect it will improve with a few more years in the bottle. |

12/4/2023 - Southkevin2 Likes this wine: 95 pointsThis was excellent, but be aware it drinks like an amarone. I don't know if they dry their grapes or if it was just really ripe, but the wine has a delicious raisin aspect to it. |

11/29/2023 - Bubba Rum Das Likes this wine: 92 pointsAbsolutely divine. Opens with cherry and berry on the nose, complex fruit and vanilla on the palate, with a long finish ending with fresh peach. Was thrilled to find (a) that I have one more bttle in the cellar, and (b) that it's still available. Just ordered two more bottles directly from the vineyard - where we're wine club members because of our love of their wines. Something that would go well with a great steak or classic Italian or Greek foods, when the meal is to be savored and enjoyed, not gulped down. |

10/28/2023 - ChateauShiny Likes this wine: 91 pointsSpot on Amador County Zin. Nose of sweet bramble, strawberries, tobacco leaf, and spices. Heavy bodied, tons of primary fruit depth, and moderate on the acidity. Palate follows the nose. Chewy tannins. Long spicy finish. |

10/20/2023 - wchrisw Likes this wine: NRAffordable, fun yet has elegance and sophistication. Fine red fruits with a hint of spice. Went great with sautéed mushrooms. Designed to be on the light side. Glad I could try this version with a bit of age. Drinking great. |

10/11/2023 - MicklethePickle Likes this wine: 89 pointsThis has improved since last night when I first opened it. Not the jammy overripe Zins of my youth. This has nice tobacco and is smooth and rich. One of the better Zins I’ve had in sometime. Really drinking nicely for a 7-year-old Amador Zin. 4-12-15-8: 89/100. |

9/16/2023 - wchrisw wrote: NRThis started off like my last bottle. Initially kinda spritzy like I had pop rocks in my mouth. This dissipates quick where is shows some bramblie-like fruit. Day 2 I’d say deep cherry and tobacco. More like a claret instead of a zin. Maybe Bill Easton knows what he’s doing by aging these a few years before release. Not sure I like this too much at this point. |

9/3/2023 - wchrisw Likes this wine: NRDay 1; slow ox for several hours, beautiful zin fruit on the nose. Shines immediately after opening. Textbook. Blue fruits and proper jam. Palate a bit muted as the fruit was trying to emerge. |
