4/5/2024 - Larsrar Likes this wine: 86 pointsPale lemon color. Medium white flowers and pear in tho nose. Youthful. Dry, high acidity, only just medium alcohol, medium body, medium pear in the mouth. Medium length. Simple but honest clean juicy high acid fruit. To be enjoyed in its youth. A steal for 11 €... |

2/17/2024 - Lordswood wrote: 87 pointsA really interesting wine and needed some research to understand grape varieties etc. Interestingly it must include 20% red grapes, which explains the Blanc de noirs style flavour profile. Although Brut Zero, it still had a distinct sweetness. This one was disgorged in Feb 2023, so almost exactly a year in bottle. I suspect that it would improve with more time too….. At £21 I will struggle to buy more though. |

2/16/2024 - RKCam Likes this wine: 90 pointsNew to this wine and region… subdued nose with hints of stoned fruit that come through on the taste - peach, light honey, and an almost steely minerality. Very clean aftertaste that lasts a long time. Intriguing |

12/27/2023 - bram_epicurien Likes this wine: 90 pointsBought and consumed in megeve. Pairing with a classic - la raclette. Medium golden color. Beautiful honey notes, pineapple, orange, peach, love the nose. Med acidity, med body, med alcohol, med flavor intensity, med finish. Really nice balance, I taste orange, citrus, pineapple with a touch of cream. Really straight wine, very likeable! Love it 😍 |

8/27/2023 - Cheesybee wrote: 84 pointsUsually I enjoy some sappy Savoie Mondeuse, but this was just ‘ok’. Purple in the glass, cherry and spice nose, light-bodied redcurrant and wild cherry flavours, bright tannins. Welcomingly modest and authentic but somehow lacking distinctiveness. |

10/7/2023 - Eudemis Likes this wine: NR12% alcohol. Mondeuse 100%. Pretty good long cork with no wine penetration. Did not decant, which was a mistake. The colour is dark with a youthful purple hue at the rim. |

10/7/2023 - Sam Adam Likes this wine: 92 pointsGreat juicy and structured at the same time. Black fruits, barnyard funk and earth. Really high acidity, great with fatty cured meats. Mistook this for some natural interpretation of malbec or a bordeaux grape (as far as I checked there is no family relationship with these grapes). |

6/24/2023 - JonathanFlavell Likes this wine: NRDeep ruby, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry & some black pepper. Decent weight on the palate, slightly powdery tannin. More bramble & pepper to taste. Remains fresh and light with decent acidity. Nice but straightforward finish. Interesting and well balanced. Drink now. |

6/14/2023 - bacchus of knockholt wrote: 87 points100% Mondeuse. Deep ruby with aromas of black, brambly fruit with a vegetal note and a touch of barnyard floor. The palate is sappy and fresh with crunchy blackberry and redcurrant fruit. The tannins are a little green. It’s a decent wine but it feels a little disjointed and needs more time. One bottle left so will leave for a year or two before I go again. |

Moyen. |

5/21/2023 - VAGenius Likes this wine: 92 pointsPnP. Nose of pear, musk melon, and beeswax. Ripe peach and pear palate with a hint of kiwi and lively mango-tinged acidity. Plush-textured and clean finish with medium plus acidity showing off white fruit, white peach, clover, and a hint of lemon. A fun wine that paired perfectly with grilled pork tenderloins that had been marinated with preserved lemons. |

12/19/2022 - Xavier Auerbach wrote: 92 pointsJ-F Quénard has two hectares of Persan in Saint-Jean-de-la-Porte. Fermented with indigenous yeasts without addition of sulfur, aged for twelve months on the lees in older wood and concrete eggs, 13.5% ABV. Rich colour, impressive and very attractive aromatics on the nose (sweet blackcurrant and raspberry, violets, warm spices and mint), good volume on the palate, fresh and well balanced, flavoursome with firm but paper-fine tannins, very good persistence. Very versatile and quite delicious. The only thing that detracts, is a slight metallic note in all stages of the wine - like one encounters in Portugieser in Germany. A judicious blend with Mondeuse (like in the Améthyste from Domaine des Ardoisières) might alleviate this. |
