It also tastes like cherries and leather. Tannins surprisingly rough, but suits the wine. Interesting and complex, especially after it got some air. Long. Good buy. |

4/15/2024 - misterstarre Likes this wine: 94 pointsLoved it. Super reductive, struck match and tart acid implode on your tongue and you cheeks cave in. Citrus and apple come through, and so does a lightly oxidized fino sherry element with candle wick. But the wine does not oxidize all that much before the oille forms and it finishes without O2. So you really get both the oxidation and the reductiveness -- playing with air on both ends of the spectrum. Cool wine. Not for everyone. |

The classic seawater and butterscotch character with a bit of flor influence, but big frame and relatively lower acidity. That said it opens with air, and could last and improve, perhaps quite a bit. Good value for a classic of the style. Good with food or after with cheese. Yes, that means Comte. |

Tangy red fruit, light and ethereal, but anchored by wild cherry and iron notes. Reminds me of a Pelaverga, but bigger, or a high quality village Bourgogne. This wine will continue to positively develop, and I’d expect it to score another point over time. Great QPR but really stands apart regardless. |
