Pencil shavings show up first on the nose, with soubois, dark cherry, rustic oak, dusty gravel, and tobacco leaf. Palate is both fruity and herbal, with a nice merlot roundness. Feels like this will peak early. I like it now, but probably best in 2-3 years. |

The wine offered every bit of the Margaux notes that I love and it was almost straight out of the bottle (p&p; no sediments). Clearly got better with time in the glass and over a couple of hours, but had potential from the get go. Once again proves that you can’t rush classic Bordeaux. |
