Ripe red and blue fruits dominate the palate, with some wild mountain sage aspects present on the back palate. High acidity, medium body, and fruit-forward finish complete the wine. Silky tannins lead into a long, capricious finish. I knew Domaine Serene had created a sister winery in Burgundy but did not realize they were producing wines of this level. A real eye-opener. |

Medium-bodied, judiciously oaked and with well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.5%), it supports its flavors with a sturdy backbone of fresh acidity and firm tannins. Beautifully dense and layered on the mid-palate, it goes on to conclude with impressive length. As good as this is now, it will get even better with additional time in the cellar. Drink 2024-2033. |

Medium-bodied, crisply acidic and without noticeable alcohol (13%), it delivers flavors that mirror the aromas, accented with notes of wet stones and star anise. The wine's oak is well-woven, the middle palate solid and the finish long. This is delicious now but will undoubtedly improve with additional time in the cellar. If it fleshes out as anticipated it will merit a higher score. Drink 2024-2030. |
