7/10/2019 - Jimmy_D Likes this wine: 91 pointsI’m a big fan of this Portuguese varietal. And this is one of a few Aussie producers that are making some fantastic medium bodied wines from it. This carries an earthy, savoury streak against an interesting red-purple berry profile. Very food friendly too. Would seek out again. |

9/24/2017 - Lordswood wrote: 89 pointsFull rich flavours with a mix of dark and red fruits. A little sweet on first tasting, but good concentration and mouthfeel. The next day was better with the sweetness receding and a mature leathery background interposing itself. Tasty |

10/14/2016 - Jase Likes this wine: 92 pointsMedium full bodied with more red fruit and floral notes than its Douro Valley counterparts. Seriously well balanced with the ability to age well. I'll be buying more of these and watching their development with interest. |

9/19/2016 - Jase Likes this wine: 94 pointsBlueberry, dried raspberry and cheries with rose petal, spice and brambles in a medium intensity bouquet. Medium plus palate intensity, medium acidity with medium plus grainy tannin. It displays a whirl of dried red and black fruits with a touch of fresh blueberry and floral notes. Brambles and spice show themselves on the back palate. A very good and well rounded wine with a decent life still ahead of it. It is only beginning to approach maturity. |

4/26/2016 - NickBurwood Likes this wine: 88 pointsReally deep ruddy onion skin colour. Core flavour of wild strawberries with a slightly herbal catty tinge. Hint of viscosity on the tongue, full bodied but enough acidity to keep the whole fresh, in balance and dry(ish). |

11/26/2015 - rossi.wine wrote: 89 pointsTasted next to the 2007. Ripe red fruit, dried fruit, floral notes, sweet tobacco. A bit tight on the palate in comparison, quite intense and vibrant, slightly drying tannins. Hold. 88-90 |

11/21/2015 - rupertg Likes this wine: 87 pointsStart of recommended drinking period. Dusky rose red rim, dark centre, but not black. No sediment in bottle. Classic fruity Tempranillo nose. Good weight in the mouth. Still quite tannic initially, but long blackcurrant and plum aftertaste. Almost sweet. Lasts for minutes. Lots of capacity to mature. Liked by all at the table. Easy drinking. |
