Bought a dozen a couple of years ago and this is the latest bottle. I think it’s in its drinking window now, I wasn’t so sure before.
Has a Pinot type nose.
Lovely full berry flavours and a little tanin. Savoury and full flavour.

Lovely tempranillo fruit still on show without any off-putting oak. Really admire this and hope that I come across it again. No rush to consume.

I’m a big fan of this Portuguese varietal. And this is one of a few Aussie producers that are making some fantastic medium bodied wines from it. This carries an earthy, savoury streak against an interesting red-purple berry profile. Very food friendly too. Would seek out again.

Full rich flavours with a mix of dark and red fruits. A little sweet on first tasting, but good concentration and mouthfeel. The next day was better with the sweetness receding and a mature leathery background interposing itself. Tasty

I agree with other tasters about this wine. Really interesting though a bit angular still--perhaps due to the screwcap slowing maturity. I'll risk it and keep my last bottle for c.5 years.

Medium full bodied with more red fruit and floral notes than its Douro Valley counterparts. Seriously well balanced with the ability to age well. I'll be buying more of these and watching their development with interest.

Blueberry, dried raspberry and cheries with rose petal, spice and brambles in a medium intensity bouquet. Medium plus palate intensity, medium acidity with medium plus grainy tannin. It displays a whirl of dried red and black fruits with a touch of fresh blueberry and floral notes. Brambles and spice show themselves on the back palate. A very good and well rounded wine with a decent life still ahead of it. It is only beginning to approach maturity.

Really deep ruddy onion skin colour. Core flavour of wild strawberries with a slightly herbal catty tinge. Hint of viscosity on the tongue, full bodied but enough acidity to keep the whole fresh, in balance and dry(ish).
A robust and original rosé for food. Will be drinking our way through this case over the next twelve months. Not for shrinking violets!

Dark red, mulberry rim. So enjoyable that we finished the bottle! Good fruit, Rioja like nose. Tannin on the finish. Don't know how it would age. Lingers well. All juicy fruit.

Tasted next to the 2010. More evolved, softer, more mellow. Still good grip, well balanced and round. Drinking well. 90-92

Tasted next to the 2007. Ripe red fruit, dried fruit, floral notes, sweet tobacco. A bit tight on the palate in comparison, quite intense and vibrant, slightly drying tannins. Hold. 88-90

Start of recommended drinking period. Dusky rose red rim, dark centre, but not black. No sediment in bottle. Classic fruity Tempranillo nose. Good weight in the mouth. Still quite tannic initially, but long blackcurrant and plum aftertaste. Almost sweet. Lasts for minutes. Lots of capacity to mature. Liked by all at the table. Easy drinking.

Company Wine tasting (The Hide): Clear purple/red - nice balance of oak and fruit - could have kept drinking it, but compared to the Spanish Rioja it was single dimensional in its complexity. Good effort but spending a few £ more gets you a big step in quality.
