A bit pungent alcohol but not a problem. Not supercomplex but highly satisfying and enjoyable and could probably last another 5 years easily. |

Of course with all old South African wines, nose was dirty cellarish, moldy and cheese. Garnet red with brown edges. Dry on the palate with a sandpaper or furry feel from the moderate tannins (7.5/10). Very well integrated, smooth and time has done wonders with this wine. I know for some people the nose is off putting and they can't get past it. Better for the people (like us) that love this! Full lingering finish, real solid. |
