Un vino con una persistencia súper larga, que conserva aún la frutosidad, las notas florales a violeta y los aportes del paso por barrica, pero que ya empieza a asomar las notas de envejecimiento con setas y trufa. Red	2013 Navarro Correas Structura Ultra Mendoza Red Blend more	Options Post a Comment View Juliansi's profile Report Issue 11/20/2023 - Juliansi Likes this wine: 88 points This is a Malbec Bordeaux blend, with 60% Malbec, 30% Cab, 7% Cab Franc, and 3% Merlot. Aged 24 months in new French oak barrels. 2013 was a cool and wet vintage in Mendoza, Argentina. Appearance wise, this has a super dark core with purple tinges. Prunes (and more prunes!) forward, very ripe and rich concentrated fruit. This is a well integrated and balanced wine, with lots of power and a medium-full body. Nose of vanilla and oak, with hints of smoke. On the palate, there are plenty of cherries, blackcurrant as well as pencil-lead and graphte. I liked the mouthfeel which is very smooth. My first ever Bodega Navarro Correas from Mendoza, it seems this winery has now been taken over by Diageo as of 1996. The origins of the winery actually goes back to 1798, when Juan de Dios Correas planted the first vines in the land of Mendoza, at the foothhills of the Andes mountain range. The main business then was selling grapes and wines to other producers, but as of 1974, don Edmundo Navarro Correas, descendant from Juan de Dios Correas, decided to start making wines under his own name. It opened and developed within 30 minutes, and rich fruit along with pleasant acid, minerality, a little sourness (in a good way) and overall just very satisfying palate and structure. La guarda recomendada de la bodega para este vino es de 7 años. Acá pasaron 14 y está impecable! 👏👏👏 Es increíble lo bien que evoluciona este Cabernet. Tuve la suerte de tomar varias botellas y siempre me sorprende. Tal como indica su nombre es un vino intenso, con notas de fruta madura, especias y hierbas. En boca es amplio y con final persistente.
