4/29/2024 - Winevestor Likes this wine: 93 pointsGood Howell Mountain cab. Well made, softer tannins than expected but this is just getting going in the drinking window. Plum, and a little bramble. |

4/26/2024 - Matt Scott wrote: 88 pointsWell made and a bit much in some aspects, but the finish sails on. Blackberries, cassis, currants and crushed rock. Full with body. If you enjoy ripe, bigger Napa, you will love this. Enjoyable and not meek, with obvious dimension. Velvety tannins. Drink now - 2033. |

4/6/2024 - napasoutherner Likes this wine: 92 pointsSolid O’Shaunnesey wine from Mt. Veeder. Its youth is gone and so is the ripeness I’ve experienced with younger OS wines. More depth, blue fruit and ash on the palate. Medium finish. Pleasurable wine. 1 person found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (1) |

4/8/2024 - Friganto Likes this wine: 92 pointsIf you're looking for the highly herbaceous, acidic, or floral style Sauvignon Blanc, you've chosen the wrong bottle. This wine is much more subtle. One drinker took a first taste and said "I thought you said this is Sauvignon Blanc." A more elegant style of SB, with hints of melon and citrus that take time to fully release. I actually preferred this wine slightly warmer than normal so if refrigerated in a standard kitchen fridge give it time to get closer to 50F/10C. Anything lower than 45F/7C and the flavors are too muted. |

4/7/2024 - sfwinelover1 Likes this wine: NRSecond bottle of 3 and similar notes to the prior bottle months ago, this being incrementally preferred (94-95+ if scoring vs. 94++), but that likely being more me than any bottle differences/maturity. Writing to reiterate that for my palate 1) no decant needed, although air didn’t hurt, either, with consistent notes over 3 nights, and 2) this is bang on in its drinking window, and while likely to hold a while, a while here is more like 5-7 years than the 15-20 others have suggested. Absolutely sang with a veal chop, and also a great drink on its own. More delineation would take it up a level, but nothing to feel bad about here, especially at its price point. This vintage really proving the screamer it was predicted to be, even if it took just a little longer than hoped. |

4/6/2024 - WineGuyFL Likes this wine: 94 pointsFirst bottle. It was a crowd pleaser at a restaurant. Was open only for about 45 minutes. That was fine. I have been buying O'Shaughnessy Cabernet Sauvignon for many years. This one is right on top on top of prior vintages. |

4/6/2024 - Eagle13 wrote: 91 pointsToo young! I have 5 left of my 6 pack. Tried this one to get a feel of how to treat the rest. I'd wait 2 yrs before trying the 2nd. Tannins are up front with fruit and oak subdued as a result, although present. Rough mouthfeel because the tannins, fruit and oak will take some time to unite. The elements are there, however. Patients!! |

4/3/2024 - WineGuyX Likes this wine: 94 pointsInky purple color. The nose is redolent of sweet blackberries, wild blueberries, wild flowers and charred French oak. Full-bodied, this is rich, round and tannic! Delightful, the palate has more black and blue fruits, hints of flowers, spice box, oak and minerals. Just excellent, this seems less flamboyant than I remember and is either in an ever so slight dumb phase or just easing its way into maturity. Drink now-2030+ 94 |

4/3/2024 - Deutsch Likes this wine: 93 pointsSeeing the wholesale value on this, what an amazing value. It’s just rich, smooth, chocolatey fine wine. Not overdone like a Caymus. But just good easy drinking wine and a pretty good value. Always dependable and notable. |

3/27/2024 - SpoochMan Likes this wine: 93 pointsBrought to Roux for dinner. This was drinking very nicely. Dark fruits, substantial body, and nice mouthfeel. There are some hints of secondaries, but this is primarily fruit driven. As such, it's not that complex but it is delicious for what it is. No hurry to drink the other two, but also not clear to me that this will really improve. Should drink other bottles in the next couple of years. |

Rich mouth, full bodied, but continues to come home to a soft tannin, clean rich finish. Oh, yeah, can cellar for lots more years. 3 people found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (1) |
