A more delicate take on a Southern Rhone cru, with Burgundy-like fineness. Refined texture with crunchy tannins, there is a new wave feel about it. Just a touch of alcoholic heat on the finish, to remind you this is the Rhone. My cup of tea, 10/10 in its class (as an entry level red wine). Drink now (-2025), great value at 8 Euros. |

Some development. Seamless and velvety, with proper tannic structure. Not complex but quite lovely, all the details are where they should be. Solid everyday Bordeaux, though Auchan offers better value, for example the Cotes do Bourg or the Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux. |

There is a plushness to it which I associate to merlot, but it's actually cabernet dominant. Smooth on the palate and surprisingly flavorful for its humble price. Properly tannic without being austere, the balance is great, such an enjoyable wine for its medium weight. Drink now. |

Perfumed, delicate and bone dry, has the finesse one expects from the region. Pretty cherry notes, good intensity. Hardly medium-bodied, tight with lively acidity and balanced tannins. Not complex but quite pretty and just spot on. (Tasted a year ago, too, with similar impressions) |
