Overt time the cherry is restrained and the dried and green grasses become more prominent. The palate is chalky and round with a great acidic balance. There is a taste like chocolate covered cherries here. Smoky and savory notes as well. Very nice. |

12/12/2023 - jfaulk Likes this wine: 90 pointsHeavy fruit on the nose. Garnet in color. Even though this is 70% Sangiovese, the Merlot (20%) dominates with a mouthful of berries & ripe fruit. The Syrah adds a bit of spice and the Sangiovese provides a hint of licorice and some earthy qualities. The tannins & acid are moderate and in check. This is a unique wine and is put together quite nicely. Drinking well young, but will age nicely in the next few years |
