1/7/2014 - K is for Kate wrote: NROn the first night I opened this, it came across extremely acidic and fairly light bodied. It seemed like a summery white that could do with a chill. However, after being open a few days, it seemed to put on weight, richness and complexity. It has been open 6 days now and is still drinking well, though a little faded. The acidity has mellowed out a bit and I am drinking it at cool room temperature (64). 1 person found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (1) |

1/7/2014 - K is for Kate wrote: NRBright and medium bodied. This isn't really a winter red, and I would suggest waiting for spring to open it, but I still enjoyed it. Lovely acidity and a completely gorgeous aroma that jumps out of the glass even in my cold living room. I would have liked to be able to serve this a bit warmer than the 64 degrees that my apartment allows in below freezing weather. |

1/4/2014 - K is for Kate wrote: NRDecent tannin structure and somewhat enjoyable but not that interesting to me. I prefer more vegetal characteristics in my Cab Franc. I took this to a party and that's probably what I will do with the second bottle as well as I think that's the right environment for it. |

12/31/2013 - K is for Kate Likes this wine: NRI should always keep this on hand for pairing with desserts. It doesn't actually come across that sweet, just fruity with nice acid, and actually tastes fairly dry when paired with sweet things, but not harsh. Perfect for my dessert wine needs. This time, we had it with chocolate and caramel fondue. |

12/31/2013 - K is for Kate wrote: NRI enjoyed this a good bit more than my last bottle. It paired well with fondue. It did seem a bit sweet compared to the non-dosage Champagne that preceded it, but hit a reasonable balance. More on the rich end of the spectrum than the precise, but light on its feet. |

12/31/2013 - K is for Kate wrote: NRI had my last bottle with fondue again and still found that warm and snuggly quality. This has a very rounded feeling to it and I find it quite likeable though the acid doesn't shine as much as I usually like in Champagne. |

12/31/2013 - K is for Kate wrote: NRI did not take detailed notes, but remember being impressed with how refreshing and precise but not at all harsh this is. There is a magical sort of balance about it. It's a joy to drink and goes down easily, but there is a lot going on if you take the time to savour. |

12/13/2013 - K is for Kate wrote: NRIntense stuff! Quite a distinctive Champagne that stood out in a night of sparkling wines but is not necessarily what I am usually looking for when I reach for Champagne. It's got a decent amount of acidity, which is not surprising, but it's not delicate or crystalline in feel at all. It's also not really primarily creamy or yeasty, just a lot of flavour coming through as if carried on the acid. If it's being served with others, probably best to leave it for last. |
