There are some hints of secondaries, but this is primarily fruit driven. As such, it's not that complex but it is delicious for what it is. No hurry to drink the other two, but also not clear to me that this will really improve. Should drink other bottles in the next couple of years. |

This has all come into really nice balance. It is midweight and not over-ripe at all, but now has a nice balance of fruit and some herbal hints. I liked it substantially better than the '06 Lewelling that we had along side it. But others who like more ripe cabs might have gone the other way. In any case, this is in a very good drinking window now and I look forward to having my last bottle of it (in CO). |

Took a little while to open up, but then it had good fruit, a velvety smooth texture, and lots of nice secondary/tertiary flavors. Probably a bit past peak overall, but this was a really nice mature wine. Hope my last bottle is as good. |

On an absolute scale, it's a pretty austere wine, so I think much better with food than on its own. Probably will go a couple more years easily. |

Nice dark fruit, and just enough acidity to keep it from feeling heavy. Nice texture and mouthfeel. Smoothed out and improved with air for 1-2 hours. One left and should be good for a couple more years without a problem. The drinking window here on CT closes in 2023 but I think well stored bottles should be fine for a while. Pushing my end window back to 2025 |

But as it opened up, that abated and this came into a really beautiful balance. Lots of nice dark fruit with herbal notes to add complexity. Drinking well now and not sure it has a lot of life ahead. Should drink my other two bottles in the next year or so. |

Hope the 09 estate cab doesn't also have this problem. |
