Wiltinger Riesling trocken 2015 VDP.Ortswein.
Uit Wiltingen, maar in feite een single vineyard wijn uit de Wiltinger Braunfels. Ingetogen maar fijne neus waar je aan blijft snuffelen. Koel, floraal, met pitfruit en kaarsvet. Wat ronder, sappiger en minder streng dan de Saar riesling, op geel fruit met pompelmoesbittertjes.
Beide “instapwijnen” (ook: Van Volxem Saar Riesling 2015) zijn van grote klasse, wat dikwijls een voorbode is voor de kwaliteit van heel de wijncollectie. Ik had een lichte voorkeur voor de Saar, die duidelijk nog een tijdje flesrijping nodig heeft om tot ontplooiing te komen.

This blend of the Bacchus and Schönburger grapes offers apples and other white fruit to the nose. On the palate a great feel of freshness and balance, with just enough minerality and acidity. Nice medium aftertaste of apple and flowers.
At the AWC - International Wine Challenge, Vienna 2016 the 2015 St. Agather was awarded 89,6 points, just short of a gold medal.

Green apples, and some citrus on both nose and palate. It lasts in the mouth. The outspoken acidity as well as the fruit accompany the first asparagus of the year admirably. A good and balanced, if not exactly great, wine. Very good QPR.

Crisp and fruity; sweet on the nose, but not sweet on the tongue. Simple and open, with a tingling and very crisp taste. Nice wine for light dishes.
