  still youthful colour, even hints of purple, deep, rich, nuanced, classic Listrac-Médoc nose with restrained green vegetal character offset by the rich sweet fruit, good depth and balance on the palate, structured with markedly dry tannin at the end, good food wine, has real interest, will easily keep and maybe even improve for another 5 years +

  perfect level and cork, colour still remarkably youthful at near 20, no brown and still with some purple, nice fresh but rich and fruity Listrac-Médoc nose with only the slightest green vegetal hints, really very good, palate with good depth and richness, tannins just slightly hard but overall nice and good QPR, last bottle was clearly just too young, now entering its optimal drinking window although still on the youthful side, went excellently with a good rare steak

  I found another bottle of this vintage, bought on holiday in France in the late 2000s. Good fruit and spice on the nose immediately on opening. The palate was smooth and elegant without the slightly austere character noted 3 years ago.
  Good fruit - mainly plums, dark cherries and cedar pencil notes with complex spice. Very good with food (roast Sirloin joint). As before, it got even better with time. This wine (from a good vintage) has improved and was well worth cellaring until now. It punches well above its weight.
