3/29/2024 - OneForTheStairs Likes this wine: NRAbsolutely delicious. Really good, fully mature, with a promising nose and a generous delivery in the mouth. I didn’t take notes but simply noted it as the most tasty wine I’ve opened for a while. Would pair well with many foods. Top beaujolais in my humble opinion. |

3/23/2024 - OneForTheStairs Likes this wine: NRGoing strong. Very very drinkable at the moment. Fruit first and last with some violet perfume on the way. Smooth as velvet. Not sure it will ever go over to a classic tertiary vintage port. But who cares? So enjoyed drinking this on its own at the end of the meal. |

2018 Domaine André Bonhomme Viré-Clessé Cuvée SpécialeChardonnay more |
3/21/2024 - OneForTheStairs Likes this wine: NRGood. Full with a distinctively waxy mouthfeel. Honey, lemon curd, flowers, pineapple, preserved lemon. It was perfect with roasted sea bass, but I would not serve it with anything requiring a bone dry white burgundy eg oysters etc. |

3/16/2024 - OneForTheStairs Likes this wine: NRPlum to translucent rim. Deep dark core. Enticing nose of violets, herbs, mint. Bit of plasticine? The initial mouth impression is rather flat—thought it might have gone over. But with time in the glass, you get juicy cherry, menthol, lavender, currant, with a bit of length, and drying but not annoying tannins. Enjoyable still, very drinkable, but probably time to finish the supply. |

8/19/2023 - OneForTheStairs Likes this wine: NRMature. Brown with surprisingly large, soft, bubbles. Muted nose of caramel, toffee apple. Apples all the way. Long. Enjoyable but perhaps lacking a bit in acidity and in the brioche/lees dimension. Drink up. |

8/3/2023 - OneForTheStairs Likes this wine: NRDeep deep purple but clear and bright. No bricking. Nose of cassis, herb. Medium mouthfeel, drying but not tannic. Deeply fruity blackcurrant with cherry, violet and oak. Biggish wine but good it’s 13.5% - feels very in balance and whilst not wildly complex drinks well and still vigorous. |

6/4/2023 - OneForTheStairs Likes this wine: NRAppealing bright and clear sunny yellowy straw colour in the glass. Peach, lemon on nose and palate; generous in the mouth, and lovely and rounded on the finish. Food or no food, a drinking delight and a very nice change from sauv B 'crisp' hegemony. |

12/17/2022 - OneForTheStairs Likes this wine: NRClear at rim. Deep bright but opaque red core. Nose of red and blackcurrant, blackcurrant leaf. Velvet initially, with a smooth very mildly tannic finish and medium acidity. Some slight astringency on the finish and a medium-light mouthfeel. Decent, clean claret for food. |

11/24/2022 - OneForTheStairs Likes this wine: NRSo good. I didn't make notes, but even the fact that I opened on a jiggly train, broke and then destroyed the cork, and drank it out of paper cups with my mother-in-law could not spoil the enjoyment. Deep leathery goodness! A warm cedary hug! Delicious. 3 people found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (3) |
