It has a subtle beeswax note, a deep minerality, and a touch of citrus on the palate. The nose is fruity and somewhat floral. We had it with a white pizza (garlic sauce), and a hawaiian pizza, and it fit just right. |

Brine and olives and seawater and cedar and barrels and yeast and grappa on the nose, salty, tangy, sultana impressions on the palate. The finish lasts forever. Taken on its own, it may be a bit much. With the right food, strong dry cheese, or a nice onion and bacon flammkuchen, it's heaven. |
