1/19/2024 - acemdin@yahoo.com Likes this wine: 92 pointsI took this bottle out of excellent storage thinking there was no point in paying to keep something probably way over the hill. To my surprise, it was nothing of the sort: still medium dark, smooth, with good fruit. I suspect this was due to the Cabernet, which dominated. When the early super Tuscans were released, some faulted them because the cab would dominate the Sangiovese, but at this stage of their lives it’s probably just as well. Another surprise: there was NO sediment. Zero. Must have been thoroughly filtered. |

It was certainly mature and might have been better a year or two ago. I see no reason to hold it further. But it was smooth and still had fruit. Don’t despair, but do drink up. Enjoy. |
