1/1/2020 - seppyk Likes this wine: 90 pointsPale gold. Nose of apple skin and toasted nuts. Stream of fine bead. Lemon, bruised apple, some yeast, some creaminess on the palate with medium acidity. Very easy to drink and a good value for an entry-level champagne. |

8/8/2019 - seppyk Likes this wine: 92 pointsDeep straw color. Nose of stone minerality and salinity. The wine is sharp, yet elegant - maintaining some roundness to provide balance. Zesty yellow and green fruits, sharp acidity, good mouth feel that is right up my alley. Focused and refreshing. One of the better representations of an albariño that I've tasted in recent memory. |

6/13/2019 - seppyk Likes this wine: 90 pointsMedium garnet. On the nose, unripe red fruits - strawberry, cherry, leather, florality, a little heat. Sour cherries, earthiness, tartness, medium/medium-high acidity. The tannins are present, but integrating and not overpowering. Enjoyable on its own or with food. Good value for $20 as purchased. Hold for another 1-3 years to see how this evolves. |

2015 Copain Chardonnay Tous EnsembleMendocino County more |
2/7/2019 - seppyk Likes this wine: 90 pointsMedium to deep gold. Peachy, minerality, honey, florality, a bit of citrus on the nose. Medium body and acidity, very refreshing and well balanced. Pear, apple, hints of lemon, citrus zest, traces of oak with a bit of creaminess. The wine lost a bit on the second day - would recommend finishing it off in one go. Very easy to drink and a good value - I'll keep an eye for other vintages if the price is right. |

2/3/2019 - seppyk wrote: 87 pointsDeep purple. Dark fruits and engine-level alcohol on the nose. Viscous on the glass pointing to higher alcohol content. Opened for an hour before tasting and it was still too tight. Waited another hour and it improved significantly - lush mouth feel, blackberries, blueberries, tar, tobacco, leather, some spice, mild florality, and firm tannins. More in the modern style. I enjoyed it more as the wine was left to open. |

1/26/2019 - seppyk Likes this wine: 88 pointsDeep purple. Dark fruit, earthyness, gaminess, alcohol, baking space, cigar, tobacco, vanilla on the nose. Fruit forward, medium body, medium acidity, medium light tannin. Legs on the wine are thick, viscous, and slow running hinting at the high alcohol content (16%). Finish is medium-short with dark fruit flavors along with the alcohol. |

12/27/2018 - seppyk wrote: 86 pointsDark ruby. Medium-thin. Dark fruits, earth, tobacco, leather on the nose. Cherry, plum, spice, light tannins, with a smooth medium-light finish. A good holiday meal wine, but not heavy in complexity. If you can get it for the right price, it's a decent daily to have with meals. Wife enjoyed it more than me because it wasn't an overbearing cabernet so we meet in the middle at 86. |
