4/25/2024 - RussK wrote: 90 pointsI agree mostly with TWARD below, but would add this. Chalky nose. Very light, like a red Sancerre in nose and body. I get the "smokey" thing, a bit like a Austrian Zweigelt. But Blind you would know it was a cold climate PN. $10G. I don't need more. |

4/23/2024 - RussK wrote: 90 pointsNatty from the 1st taste. I agree with Brian Capers below, especially on the Soudhat meets natty Loire. I would add that there is a pleasant secondary fermentation and cabonic taste. The nose and mouth show raspberry and black pepper notes (like Riberia Sacra and Lisan Negro) notes and no bretty farmyard notes (like Loire CF). 90+. Don’t needmore. $20G. |

4/20/2024 - RussK wrote: 90 pointsNIce nose of iron, blood, earth and chaulk. Maybe a tiny bit of horse stable. Mouth, like the nose but showing some char on the barrel and the tiniest bit of baked fruit. Very savory. Med+ bodied and pithy. Ready now, but could go longer. 90+pts. $26G. |

4/18/2024 - RussK wrote: 90 pointsI had the 2019 and 2020 back to back, and the 2019 is showing much better now. See my '19 review there. Is it one less year in the bottle, or is it the vintage? I think it is the vintage. The 2020 seems more austere and green, less fruit, more spice. I not a big fruit fan. But having more fruit in the '19 helped keep it more balanced than the '20. Both vintage still show the pleasant touch of brett and 12.5ABV that i find and like with this producer. 90pts. I don't need more of the '20 and I would wait another year or 2 before opening another. |

4/17/2024 - RussK wrote: 91 pointsLiked again. Medium+ body. Juicy acidity. Ready now. Low abv 12.5%. A pleasant touch of brett or petrichlor. $17G. Get more if possible. I have some of the 2020 or 2021, not sure. Of all the Loire CF producers I have tried, I like this one most consistantly. |
