Some red fruit (actually grew for a couple of hours), cherries, light spices, a little nutmeg, mint, lots of minerals. Medium bodied, with quite brisk acidity. Tannins relatively mellow, but still a little firmess on the finish. Medium finish. Good wine, didn't blow me away. Drink up. |

Medium-bodied, good intensity, rather smooth tannins, strong acidity. Good match to a home made hamburger. Drink now and in the next 5-8 years. |

11/2/2023 - SmoothPalate wrote: 91 pointsJust slightly evolved, full of vibrant fresh fruit, plums, some earthiness, bell pepper, vanilla, minerals. Still a little tannic. Medium to fully bodied, with a very good finish, showing some sweeetness from the oak and high alcohol (14,5%). Very good wine. Seems in a good spot now. Excellent QPR. |

10/29/2023 - SmoothPalate wrote: 88 pointsGarnet colour. Elegant, soft, mellow, fresh, crème de cassis, plum, smoke, tobacco, minerals. Not a very bold Pomerol, rather subdued. Fully mature, mellow tannins, but still good grip. Easy to drink. No need for further cellaring, drink now. |

4/14/2023 - SmoothPalate wrote: 83 pointsNot impressed by this. Below expectation. Ruby colour with a little evolution. Nose still has some freshness but is shy. Fruit not very expressive, some light fresh berries, a drier type of fruit (prune), pepper, slight impression of rose hip, a little ash. Medium-bodied with rather high acidity. Not sure is it needs more ageing or if it is actually in decline? Anyway, not very impressive for this village and this vintage. |

Soft tannins on the palate. The wine is still juicy and fresh, and perfectly mature. No need to age longer. |

12/31/2020 - SmoothPalate wrote: 89 pointsBold, very ripe, smooth tannins, but retaining some firmness. Good freshness and overall balance. Cassis, plums, cocoa. Fully integrated oak. Ripeness very obvious on the finish. Seems on a high plateau. Very drinkable now. No need to wait further, but also no big hurry to drink up. Perfect with lamb. |

3/23/2020 - SmoothPalate wrote: 88 pointsDark garnet colour. Quite intense on the nose, first some vanilla, then plums, dark berries, earthiness, and beautiful minerals. On the palate, it's fresh, easy drinking, medium+ bodied, with a smooth attack and tannins that get a little firmer toward the finish. Overall, a good wine that seems ready to drink, but can age for at least another 5-7 years. Very little Margaux typicity in my view, but good wine nonetheless, especielly for the price point. Drink with a steak or hearty dish. |

2/19/2020 - SmoothPalate wrote: 88 pointsPretty good and quite classic. Relatively complex, open, mature nose with gravel minerality, tobacco, cedar, blackcurrant. Palate is a little thin after opening but fleshes out with air. Tannins are fine-grained and give a nice structure but also a good drinkability. Some leafiness. Aromatically mature but has the structure to last. Drink now - 2030 |

Very quaffable with smooth tannins, at the same time showing class. Should drink beautifully for another decade. |

11/16/2019 - SmoothPalate wrote: 90 pointsA little bricking. Still very fresh and youthful, I was expecting more aged flavours. Sour cherries, wild berries, forest floor, earthiness, a hint of prune and dried fruit, a hint of aniseed, fresh gravel minerality. Medium bodied, Pinot driven acidity and freshness, very soft through the attack and mid palate, gets a little tighter on the finish. But overall the tannins are quite mellowed. A very good wine, but you are entitled to expect more of a Grand Cru. This is more like a Village level to me. However the youthfulness at 13 years of age is a sign of quality. If you're looking for the really mature Bourgogne, you should cellar this one for longer. Can probably be very fine for another 8 years. |

8/18/2019 - SmoothPalate wrote: 92 pointsOutstanding. Deep ruby colour. Complex flavours of plum, blackberries, roasted herbs, spices, pistachio, cocoa, minerality. Hints of vanilla and a savory feeling. Fully bodied with an outstanding smoothness on the the mid-palate, with a firm, fine-grained tannic finish. Very long. Excellent freshness. This seems still young and dynamic, with no real sign of ageing. Drinking very well now after 1 hour decant. Good for another 10 years. |

8/18/2019 - SmoothPalate wrote: 87 pointsThis wine has matured quite a bit. Now fully mature. Very atypical Pinot Noir, with dark colour and high alcohol. What first comes to attention is a plummy, very mature flavour, followed by blackberry, raspberry, lots of spices, some hints of cocoa and minerals. This drink more like a Syrah than a Pinot Noir. Some oaky hints on the finish and a very ripe feeling. Slightly oxidative. Tannins pretty mellow. A very interesting experience. Needs food. Seems fully mature by now, probably time to drink up soon. |

7/23/2019 - SmoothPalate wrote: 85 pointsGarnet colour. Nose opens and gains intensity with air. Very smoky at first, then revealing plums, kirsch, pepper, sage, a little leather. Medium bodied, high acidity, still firm tannins. A strong structure here and we can expect a rather long life ahead. Drinking well now, but I find it a little rustic in style. |

7/22/2019 - SmoothPalate wrote: 81 pointsGood bottle, very top shoulder fill. Initially weak, the wine took about 3 hours to open up. Earthy, with tones of raisin, prune, licorice, sour cherries, rose hip, toffee. Medium bodied with high acidity. Drinkable, but clearly over the hill. Best with food, for example a hearty dish of white meat with mushrooms. Drink up! |
