The interplay between them means that you don't notice either at first as much as you notice the whole. Really classic tokaji character--tart apricot, honey, a hint of toasted walnut. Endlessly drinkable. Brightens as it gets colder--drink anywhere from a fridge to cellar temp depending on what you're looking for. No matter what, you won't be disappointed. |

On the palate, we can feel some elements of stems and skins. Maybe the grape was not de-stemmed or had more skin contact during wine making process? The finish is long, complex, with some spiciness and bitterness. The bitterness really sums this wine up with a beautiful balance. |

Nose shows some reduction when first opened, but after about 15 minutes it blows off and opens the gates to a sensation of stone & tropical fruit - nectarine, peach, passionfruit, papaya, ripe pineapple. Some ripe citrus here as well. Light on its feet with an amazing (and seriously unexpected) acidity complemented by a 10% alcohol. Finish is long and refreshing. Stunning pairing with lemon tart, I was in heaven. |
