  Greek wines, Turkish food (Gokyuzu Kentish Town): Late harvested and then raisined, 4 years in old oak. Lovely balance - the relentless acidity lifts what would otherwise be a gloop monster- toffee and caramel, rum and raisin, dried orange and walnut, thickly textured and very sweet. Nice end to the meal.

  Greek wines, Turkish food (Gokyuzu Kentish Town): Often a cuvee where my heart and head diverge: it's objectively an impressive thing: textured, balanced, powerful, substantial. But it's kind of too much for my personal taste. The density and frame give it a custardy texture, the concentration almost bullying in its intensity. It does the lemon and rocky sea spray thing, but amped up- some riper citrus notes coming through with flesh and generosity. Big and mouth-filling, it monopolises your attention through to a long finish.
