Nose is clean and youthful, with notes of stewed black cherry, black currant, pepper, clay, cinnamon, toast and a hint of chocolate. The palate is dry, with medium acidity and body, medium plus alcohol, velvety mouthfeel, and flavors of black cherry, currant, toast and cinnamon again. Long finish too. Very good wine. |

Lemon, apple, floral and honey on the nose with a whiff of cashew, the palate begins with a sweet note of baked apple pie in the company of brown sugar, but the acidity takes over on the transition and the finish ends up quite dry and cleansing. I was left with the impression of a lot of 'sweet' flavors on a wine that acted dry. |

Intense concentration on the nose of cherry, blueberry, plum and blackberry. The palate is a little more refined, nice acidity holding the fruit together, soft texture. Not as complex as when I drank this in 2009 for thanksgiving, when a little caramel note stood out, but still plenty good; drank with lamb. |
