4/17/2013 - seekwine Likes this wine: 95 pointsBought on release. A really sniffer. Damp earth, fresh mushrooms , dried roses, backdrops of red fruits. Balanced acidity. spinning mouth with a melange of terroir driven flavors matching the nose. Finish is long and evocative of walks through the woods on a warm autumn day after leaf fall. This is really lovely. |

Hint of white pepper! Some sweetness with backbone to back it up. Bounces around the palate and makes one reach for another sip. Brings summer fruits back from memory. This one should go for another 5-10 years. |

12/10/2012 - seekwine Likes this wine: 93 pointsThis wine has matured nicely, losing it's more overt eucalyptus and blackberry character and gaining a very complex Rutherford/Oakville dust and earth that melds nicely with the maturing fruit and cedar. No need to hide it at the bottom of a stack. Wine is peaking but looks to hold well. A real sniffer and an excellent example of a wine that typifies bottle complexity and Napa character. |
