It is ready to drink now but I think another year will be perfect. It has a nice aroma of darker red fruits and the taste matches. Great fruit flavors with very nice and smooth tannins. |

The taste is magical. The wine is rich, smooth and light on its feet. It has a nice dark cherry overtone with chocolate hints along with a mild but nice spicey note. I have one more, but I wish I had a couple cases. This is a crowd pleaser on steroids. Exceptional wine. |

I am a big fan of the Bard, Tempest, and Farella and I don't think this is that much better to justify the additional price but it is certainly a pleasure to drink. No hard edges and it is a relatively big wine but elegant at the same time. |

11/19/2023 - zylmanj Likes this wine: 96 pointsI have had this wine about 6 times now over the last several years. This is simply one of the best wines I have ever had with a great QPR. It has the perfect dryness and ultra fine tannins. It is very balanced and tastes absolutely fantastic. It is not overly complicated but the tannins more than make up for that. I am a big Cab fan but I do really like merlots and sometimes they are just as good or better than a $100 bottle of Napa Cab. My current favorite merlots are this one, 2015 Realm the tempest, and 2015 Venge Oakville Estate Merlot. Cheers! |

It has very nice intergrated fine tannins and it is silky smooth. I am constantly impressed with Lewis wines! Well done. I still think that has a few years of life left but it is ready for prime time. |

While drinking you can tell its not integrated and balanced yet and I think I will drink my last bottle around 2028 - 2030. I think its going to be very good but time will tell if it has a good QPR. |

There is some sediment that should be filtered out (if desired). I am new to Odette and have had this and the 2016 vintage. Both are outstanding and I am an instant fan of this winery and love the Stags Leap region. |

It has ultra fine tannins with slight grip coupled with darker fruit flavors and is just delicious. I had to order more as soon as I had my first glass which I think is the ultimate compliment to the winery & winemaker. Also, it got better and better throughout the night. To add to the magic I woke up the next morning feeling great.....and that is a minor miracle in and of itself considering how much of this I drank...lol |

On night 1 the Realm stole the show but then on New Year's Day I decided to dive into this. On night 1 it was tight but after slow oxing for 24 hours it really shined on day 2. I am very impressed with every Dumol wine. Their Pinot's are exceptional but I am starting to think their Cabs are every bit as good. This is a crowd pleaser even if the group is picky. |

I then put some in a powered decanter for 10 to 15 minutes and it improved significantly but still not ready. I would let these sit for at least 5 more years. I do think this has enormous upside potential between 97 to 100 but I'm not convinced the QPR is there for my palate. |
