7/9/2023 - Disgustaeer Likes this wine: 97 pointsFruit is fading, a little black Currant left, cedar, graphite, mostly tertiary at first. After about an hour I thought it improved and I actually got some more dark fruits coming thru. Some floral notes as well maybe lilac. |

4/7/2023 - Disgustaeer Likes this wine: 94 pointsLove this bottle. Lots of evolution over a few hours. Started with a floral notes some rose, hint of tar, tobacco, sour cherry. After an hour there was less floral, no tar, still tobacco, vanilla and cherry. Tannin still there. If you just drink it’s very nice, get the very astringent Italian tannin if you swish around mouth. I’m going to find some older vintages as I think another 5-10ths would be perfect. |

12/1/2022 - Disgustaeer Likes this wine: 98 pointsDrank with a friend before and after dinner so tasted over course of about 4 hours. Really enjoyable. To me started savory with obvious meat, fat, oak, pepper, only some mild black fruit notes, salty with olive tapenade. Over time the oak and pepper seemed to come more forward with more black fruit, maybe a bit more floral, still large meat undertone, and olive notes more obvious. |

10/19/2022 - Disgustaeer Likes this wine: 87 pointsGood not great. Agree with another review below lacks characters. Not sure what it’s trying to be but doesn’t seem like it’s own. Lots of spice comes across. To me I feel it’s over oaked, but I’m not really sure that’s what it is. Something just doesn’t do it for me. |

10/9/2022 - Disgustaeer wrote: 80 pointsSome good fruit on nose, some bell pepper not too much. I don’t like the structure though. Low acid and tannins don’t match up with the alcohol. It’s not bad but not a 70-80$ bottle. Disappointed |

3/26/2022 - Disgustaeer Likes this wine: 93 pointsGreat dry gewurz. Redeems bedrock a little for me as I did not like the cab sauv I tried previously. Lychee if I really think hard, but really more just some tropical fruits, floral, a little spice. I feel like more going on in the nose than palate. 13.5% alcohol but feels a little hotter to me for some reason. Low acid. Overall enjoyed, would buy again. I’d maybe like a little lower alcohol/off dry better for this wine. |

2/26/2022 - Disgustaeer Does not like this wine: 84 pointsWay too much on th me autolytic notes. Maybe bad phase. Maybe not my style. But I just don’t like it. Had a cristal before. There is no comparison. |

1/11/2022 - Disgustaeer Likes this wine: 85 pointsDisappointed, people seem to rave about bedrock. This is first one I have tried. Not a bad wine maybe just didn’t live up to unrealistic expectations. Just seemed like a standard Napa cab. Didn’t find anything particularly great or particularly bad. Maybe it’s shut down. Some dark fruits, vanilla, don’t really feel a whole lot going on. For this price range I have no shortage of options I like a lot more. 1 person found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (3) |

1/1/2022 - Disgustaeer Likes this wine: 99 pointsExcellent wine. Still could go another 10-20 years. 4 hour decant. Still powerful. Chocolate, leather, vanilla, some fruit. Big and bold. If not for price I would chase down more. |

2016 Château Léoville BartonSt. Julien Red Bordeaux Blend more |
12/25/2021 - Disgustaeer Likes this wine: 96 pointsDecanted at least 2 hours. Smooth tannins already well integrated. Certainly will improve. Drank as comparison to an 82. Not as complex. Enjoyable. Wait longer but still enjoyable today. More dark fruits, cassis, a little forest floor, graphite, a subtle floral note. Full bodied. |

12/25/2021 - Disgustaeer Likes this wine: 97 pointsJust kept improving. Decanted 2 hours before dinner. Drank over additional 2 hours. Started good, ended phenomena. Lots of tertiary, a little dark fruit left. Went great with beef Wellington. I personally wouldn’t hold much longer. |

8/21/2021 - Disgustaeer Likes this wine: 96 pointsExcellent bottle, still can go years. Black pepper, vanilla, cassis, black fruits more cooked than fresh. Evolves well over evening. Did not decant just left bottle open for a few hours, but probably would benefit from a few hours in decanter. Full bodied complex but soft tannins and not overpowering very well balanced. Paired with some stuffed peppers it was really nice. Would buy again. |
