Solid, restrained Cali cab. Nice, bright red fruit up front. Coffee, apple pie spice, and a little bit of oak on the medium-long finish. A very nice QPR wine.

Very tart and somewhat bitter. Lemon, lime, and pith. A little turpentine. No real complexity and not really drinkable alone, but much improved with fatty food. Would not buy again.

Still drinkable, but sadly past its prime. I remember this as a much better wine. Most of the fruit gone. Honey and acid and oily oak are left.

Campfire, graphite, turpentine, but tons of heat and almost no fruit. Some interesting flavor notes, but so far out of balance, I found it hard to drink.

Maybe it was a bad food pairing (grilled, Moroccan-spiced mutton), or maybe it was a bad bottle, but this wine was not nearly as good as I remembered it being. Over-extracted, jolly rancheresque candy flavors without nearly enough backbone or balance to carry. High alcohol and sharp elbows.

Strawberry and pomegranate on the nose and palate. A bit kool-aid over-extracted. Hollow mid palate, but decent finish.

Sweet, jolly rancher sour apple flavor. Way out of balance - too much alc, not enough acid.

Nice acid, some green fruit, not terribly complex - a decent bottle. I'm pretty disappointed by the QPR. I'm also surprised by some of the CT tasting notes re sweetness. I found it to be just a shade shy of bone dry and not a great match with a spicy Thai meal.

Sweeeeeet. Way more than expected. Opens up nicely after you get accustomed the sweetness. Granny smith apples all day long, a little melon, and a bit of perfume. Every so slightly fizzante and only 8.5% alc. Very drinkable and even better with a spicy meal.
