Westwood Legend

Westwood Estate features wines sourced primarily from the Biodynamically certified Annadel Gap Vineyard in Sonoma Valley that serves as the heart of Westwood Estate. The vineyard has also achieved organic certification from Oregon based Stellar Certification Services. First planted in the northernmost part of Sonoma Valley in three stages between 2001 and 2009, the 22 planted acres feature carefully focused blocks of nine clones of Pinot Noir, four clones of Syrah, and micro-blocks of Counoise, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Tannat, Roussanne and Viognier.

Inspired by the richness and varietal diversity found in Sonoma, the concept behind Legend was to create a wine immediately accessible, delicious in its youth that would continue to age gracefully, delivering complexity and layers to an already seamless palate. The Rhône varietals boast a bouquet of wild herbs and rich forest berry fruit. Tannat provides an excellent backbone of tannins and superior focus while adding elegant floral aromatics. The fantastic varietals all blend masterfully with the sensation of ripe, opulent fruit creating a perfect harmony of elegance and richness culminating in a legendary wine experience.
